Position Overview

The Travel CVOR Technologist plays a crucial role in the surgical team, ensuring patient safety and supporting the surgical process.

Certification Requirements
  • BLS Certification: Must be certified through the American Heart Association only.
Job Responsibilities
  • Prepare the Operating Room prior to surgical procedures.
  • Assist the surgeon during operations, ensuring the safety and well-being of the patient.
  • Manage instruments and supplies utilized in surgeries.
  • Provide care for patients across all age groups, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
Qualifications
  • Permanent residence must be outside a 50-mile radius of Madison.
  • Minimum of two years of scrub experience or equivalent relevant experience, with a strong focus on cardiac, thoracic, and transplant procedures.
  • Experience in an Academic Level 1 Trauma center or a similar facility is required.
  • Prior travel experience is highly preferred.
  • Completion of a surgical technologist program or two years of experience in a Surgical Technologist role may be accepted in lieu of program completion.
Work Schedule
  • Travelers may float to various units, including those working with children up to one year of age, based on competency and experience.
  • Shifts may be scheduled across multiple units depending on staffing needs.
  • If the primary unit no longer requires services, shifts will be reassigned to ensure contract completion.
