Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to provide operational support for the implementation of a tertiary education institution's new Student Management System (SMS). This role contributes to the technology enablement for student administration and academic services, enhancing the student experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • System Implementation Support: Provide expert support for the implementation of Student Management Systems modules, ensuring alignment with business requirements.
  • Business Engagement: Engage with business teams to gather detailed requirements for system or technology enhancements.
  • UAT and Testing: Perform UAT for new system modules, monitor and report on UAT progress, addressing any issues that arise during the testing phase.
  • User Adoption: Guide users through the adoption of new functionalities and enhancements.
  • System Monitoring: Oversee the monitoring of system implementation and UAT status to ensure timely and successful go-live.
  • Problem Resolution: Collect and analyze data related to operational issues, collaborating with system vendors and IT teams to resolve problems effectively.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Prepare comprehensive reports and dashboards for system status, support requests, and management reporting.
  • User Administration: Maintenance of user administration, support in troubleshooting technical and functional issues in the different systems.
  • Reporting and Data Analysis: Generate and distribute system and operation reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, supporting management reporting, data analysis, and business decision-making.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in any related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of working experience in Business Analyst or Project Management, preferably in tertiary education sector.
  • Skills: Working knowledge in student management system preferred, demonstrated competencies in system and process documentation.
