Environmental Health and Safety Manager

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety Manager to join our team at Michael Page. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing our safety, environmental, and sanitation programs to ensure regulatory compliance and protect our employees.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Safety Programs: Create and implement safety programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Advise Senior Leadership: Provide guidance to senior leadership on emerging environmental health and safety legislation and maintain required record-keeping.
- Manage Service Contracts: Oversee service contracts for safety, environmental, hygienic, and grounds services, as well as facilities cleaning staff, including training and performance evaluations.
- Analyze Safety Metrics: Analyze safety metrics and prioritize safety tickets for improvement.
- Oversee Emergency Management: Manage emergency management programs and act as the first point of contact during emergencies.
- Conduct Audits and Inspections: Conduct weekly safety/quality audits and inspections, with reporting and employee education.
- Promote Employee Engagement: Promote employee engagement and safety culture through performance metrics and best practices.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, EHS, engineering, or related field preferred.
- Experience: 2-5 years of experience in improving safety performance and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of OSHA and relevant federal and state safety regulations, proven experience developing and managing safety programs, skilled in leading incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implementing prevention measures.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and motivate across all organizational levels.
