UofL Health is seeking a highly skilled Facilities Manager to oversee the planning, organization, and execution of capital projects that enhance the environment of care at our Academic Medical Center. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our facilities are efficient, effective, and of the highest quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Capital Project Planning: Develop and implement plans for capital projects that align with the organization's strategic objectives.
  • Budgeting and Cost Control: Create and manage operating and capital budgets to ensure that projects are completed within established parameters.
  • Facilities Development: Develop goals and standards for facilities development that promote the highest quality of care.
  • Project Scheduling: Plan and coordinate project schedules to minimize disruption to hospital operations.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Provide leadership and guidance to other hospital departments on facilities development and project management.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate the organization's philosophy, goals, and standards to design consultants and contractors, and ensure that stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Performance Monitoring and Evaluation: Track project costs and evaluate the effectiveness of capital projects to ensure that they meet the organization's objectives.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Design, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role with basic management experience.
  • Certifications and Registrations: Registration or certification in a relevant field is a plus, but not required.
