Position Overview:
As a Childcare Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in delivering a safe and developmentally appropriate childcare program. You will work closely with the classroom team to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and maintain a nurturing environment for children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide healthy snacks and meals in accordance with established guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of equipment and facilities at all times.
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing daily lesson plans.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures, including disciplinary protocols.
- Familiarize yourself with emergency procedures to ensure child safety.
- Supervise children consistently to promote a secure environment.
- Engage children in various activities, including music, games, and storytelling.
- Facilitate rest and sleep opportunities for children.
- Establish routines and provide positive reinforcement.
- Communicate effectively with children in an understandable manner.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Implement training policies and procedures in daily classroom activities.
Qualifications:
- Preferred two-year degree or a combination of education and relevant experience.
- Strong multi-tasking, time management, and stress management abilities.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility.
- Demonstrated work ethic aligned with organizational goals.
- Successful completion of background checks and drug screening.
