Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Assistant Director of Residential Services to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our Individualized Residential Alternatives (IRAs) in accordance with OPWDD regulations and CMA policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Guidance
    • Provide strategic leadership and guidance to frontline staff, including residence managers, assistant managers, and direct support professionals.
  • Individual Support
    • Ensure the rights, health, and safety of the individuals supported in your assigned programs is a critical responsibility.
  • Staff Development
    • Oversee ongoing staff training and development within your programs.
  • Quality Assurance
    • Verify that services meet quality standards and billing requirements.
  • Relationship Building
    • Build strong relationships with families and act as a liaison.
  • Fiscal Management
    • Oversee fiscal compliance, including managing personal funds, program budgets, and payroll/overtime.
  • Program Development
    • Participate in developing new programs.
  • Site Management
    • Coordinate site selection, communication with relevant offices, and the selection of individuals to support.
  • Incident Reporting
    • Responsible for accurate and timely reporting of incidents.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human services with at least 3 years providing supervisory supports in an OPWDD certified program.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Willingness to be on call and work a flexible schedule to meet the program needs.
