The canteen manager will assist in providing essential services to students, while not performing teaching duties as defined by relevant educational legislation. Supervision of students may be necessary, both individually and in small groups, under the guidance of teaching staff.

Key Responsibilities

Execute specific support tasks aimed at achieving operational goals, including maintaining accurate records and managing the canteen environment. Prepare and serve food items. Manage inventory and replenish supplies as needed. Support students in understanding food preparation and hygiene practices. Ensure the canteen meets established health and safety standards. Maintain cleanliness of the canteen area on a daily basis and at the end of each term. Follow workplace health and safety protocols and risk management policies.

Additional Duties

Provide routine assistance to volunteer canteen staff. Liaise with teaching staff regarding student-related matters and other responsibilities. Offer basic care and support for students, including hygiene and safety measures. Facilitate communication with students to aid their understanding of essential tasks. Address immediate behavioral issues in the canteen setting, in line with school policies. Deliver medical support to students when trained and under appropriate conditions.
