Job Description:

The HR Business Partner position plays a vital role in aligning business objectives with employees and management. As an HRBP, you will formulate partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct weekly meetings with department leadership to discuss key performance indicators and business objectives.
  • Provide HR guidance to supervisors and managers, ensuring compliance with federal and state employment laws.
  • Analyze trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs, and policies that drive business results.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues through effective investigations and resolutions.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management, including coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary actions.
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Develop offer terms for new hires, promotions, and transfers, in partnership with leaders.
  • Partner with the HR consulting group on ADA and LOA initiatives, ensuring leadership education and compliance with the process.
  • Identify training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs.
  • Participate in the evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success and follow-up to ensure training objectives are met.
  • Responsible for conducting onboarding and training orientation for new employees.
  • Drive organizational DE&I initiatives in partnership with the Executive Team and employee committee.
  • Assist with recruiting initiatives, occasionally reviewing resumes and participating in phone screenings for potential candidates.
  • Proactively seek ongoing knowledge and expertise in the HR environment, as well as general business trends and practices, and share expertise with others.

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of related or equivalent human resources experience, inclusive of experience resolving complex employee relations issues; Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business Administration preferred.
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential highly desirable.
  • Advanced foundation of HR knowledge, particularly understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws, regulations, and practices, as well as a keen ability to serve as a business partner.
  • Familiarity with general business management functions and proven ability to work cross-functionally within an organization, particularly with leadership or at an executive level.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
