Patient Care Assistant II

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Care Assistant II to join our Inpatient, Pediatric ICU team at UMass Memorial Health. As a PCA II, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our nursing staff in delivering high-quality patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including vital sign monitoring, medication administration, and wound care.
- Assist with patient transfers, ambulation, and positioning.
- Participate in the development and implementation of individualized patient care plans.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Contribute to a safe and respectful environment by adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Current CNA or EMT license or Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
- One year of experience as a PCA I - Inpatient and completion of all unit-based competency requirements.
- Basic Life Support or Heart Saver certification required.
