We are seeking a skilled Patient Care Associate II to join our team at UMass Memorial Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients and their families.
Responsibilities- Provide clear and timely communication to the Registered Nurse regarding patient observations and changes.
- Participate in maintaining a safe environment and utilize interventions to de-escalate patients.
- Assist patients with daily living activities, such as personal hygiene, ambulation, meals, and nourishment.
- Assist in moving, lifting, positioning, and transporting patients using proper safety techniques and body mechanics.
- Maintain patient safety by performing patient safety checks and following restraint policy standards.
- Minimum of a high school education or GED.
- Current CNA or EMT license or Certified Medical Assistant is preferred.
- Prior clinical experience or acute care training, or nursing student who has completed at least one clinical rotation, or one year of experience as a PCA I - Inpatient and has completed all unit-based competency requirements.
- Current Basic Life Support or Heart Saver certification.
