About the Position

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Intelligence Analyst to join our team at the Department of the Air Force - Agency Wide. As a Senior Intelligence Analyst, you will be responsible for providing intelligence oversight, guidance, and planning support to the acquisition life cycle, as well as managing red threat intelligence requirements to support the mission of the Space Training and Readiness Command (STARCOM).

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a senior Intelligence advisor and primary consultant on Red Threat and Acquisitions Intelligence.
  • Lead a wide variety of complex and non-routine Acquisition Intelligence projects/programs/teams supporting Space Force and DoD acquisition processes, programs, systems, and acquisition activities.
  • Provide Intelligence guidance, oversight, and advanced analytic support to DoD/USSF Acquisition programs, systems, and processes.
  • Develop and present ISR capabilities as related to intelligence acquisition and program/system development to a variety of senior level customers.
  • Serve as a senior technical intelligence acquisition authority on ISR matters for all STARCOM programs.
  • Serve as the senior subject matter expert and technical authority for an intelligence function, organization, process, program, or weapon system.
Requirements
  • U.S. Citizenship Required.
  • All new DCIPS employees are required to complete a two-year DCIPS trial period.
  • If authorized, PCS will be paid IAW JTR and AF Regulations.
  • Must be registered for Selective Service.
  • Employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, to include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
  • Shift work and emergency overtime may be required.
  • Employee must maintain current certifications.
  • Disclosure of Political Appointments.
  • Direct Deposit: All federal employees are required to have direct deposit.
  • Advance in hire may be authorized if there is demonstrable proof provided on your resume.
  • Leave accrual may be authorized upon request.
  • The employee may be required to travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments.
Qualifications
  • This is a GG-13 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS).
  • The GG-13 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-13 level.
  • To qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  • Knowledge of the intelligence cycle and intelligence policy and guidance, and the structure, organization, roles, and missions, and inter-relationships of the national IC, DoD, and USSF.
  • Knowledge of acquisition policy and guidance and the role intelligence plays throughout a weapons system's life cycle.
  • Knowledge of a comprehensive range of intelligence research methods, techniques, and practices and advanced analytical principles, concepts, and methods used to identify and analyze complex multi-source intelligence information.
  • Skill in conducting unbiased complex research, identifying appropriate available systems/data sources, and producing intelligence requirement assessments.
  • Skill in communicating clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy, orally and in writing.
  • Ability to quickly assimilate disparate data, render knowledgeable and accurate assessments of the implication of such data, and make decisions, estimates, and recommendations under conditions of urgency and competing resource.
