Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team in the Eastern Maryland area. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for producing high-quality radiographic images through appropriate positioning and technical factors.
You will operate CT scanners, power injectors, and post-processing equipment, adjusting protocols to meet patient needs when necessary. Critiquing completed procedures for high diagnostic quality is also an essential part of this role.
In addition to producing high-quality images, you will perform general radiography exams as needed, adjust protocols to meet patient needs, and critique completed procedures for high diagnostic quality.
Maintaining a repeat rate at or below the national standard is crucial for this position. Familiarity with terminology and procedures performed in Diagnostic Imaging, as well as a working knowledge of front desk and file room procedures, are also required.
As a CT Technologist, you will communicate delays to patients, explain procedures to make them comfortable, and obtain thorough and pertinent patient history to prepare patients for examination.
You will also encourage and assist in research at the technologist level, keeping abreast of new procedures and exams related to Diagnostic Imaging practice.
Selecting the appropriate equipment and being aware of setup based on procedure protocol, specifications, and standards is essential for this role.
Evaluating the technical quality of images and recording, archiving, retrieving, compiling, and calculating data are critical skills for this position.
Independently capable of assisting the radiologist during invasive procedures such as biopsies and abscess drainages, you will position patients based on anatomy in question and provide accurate measurements.
You will educate patients clearly about procedures before imaging, follow age-specific guidelines, and practice positive patient identification.
Acquiring complete and appropriate patient history and conveying all pertinent information to the radiologist is also a key responsibility of this role.
