Job Description

We are looking for a qualified CT Technologist with a minimum of 1 year of experience to perform high-quality radiographic images through appropriate positioning and technical factors. The ideal candidate will have ARRT certification in CT and be familiar with terminology and procedures performed in all areas of diagnostic imaging.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Producing high-quality radiographic images through appropriate positioning and technical factors
  2. Operating CT scanner, power injector, and post-processing equipment
  3. Adjusting protocols to meet patient needs when necessary
  4. Critiquing completed procedures for high diagnostic quality
  5. Maintaining a repeat rate at or below the national standard
  6. Familiarity with terminology and procedures performed in all areas of diagnostic imaging
  7. Demonstrating a working knowledge of all front desk and file room procedures
  8. Communicating delays to patients and explaining procedures so that patients are comfortable
  9. Obtaining thorough and pertinent patient history and preparing patients for examination
  10. Selecting the appropriate equipment and being aware of the set up based on procedure protocol, specifications, and standards
  11. Evaluating the technical quality of images and recording, archiving, retrieving, compiling, and calculating data
  12. Independently capable of assisting the radiologist during invasive procedures such as biopsies and abscess drainages
  13. Positioning the patient based on anatomy in question and providing accurate measurements, educating, and clearly explaining procedures before imaging, and following age-specific guidelines
  14. Practicing positive patient identification
  15. Acquiring complete and appropriate patient history and conveying all pertinent information to the radiologist
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • ARRT certification in CT
  • Minimum of 1 year of CT experience
