Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Branch Manager to join our team at Restaurant Depot. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our Branch, providing exceptional customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Branch, including personnel issues and supervision.
  • Develop and maintain strong business relationships with customers through open communication and effective problem-solving.
  • Ensure compliance with established policies and procedures, including safety protocols and inventory management.
  • Review financial and operational reports to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary actions.
  • Direct subordinates to ensure timely and accurate management of all warehouse operations, including safety, sanitation, and inventory management.
  • Define and communicate service standards and operational mission to employees, monitoring activities to meet Branch goals.
  • Maximize sales opportunities by ensuring high levels of customer service and proper scheduling of the workforce.
  • Manage selection, annual performance appraisals, and professional development of all Management level personnel.
  • Maintain communication with Corporate Offices to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (preferred but not required).
  • Minimum 4 years management experience in food service or grocery distribution in a supermarket, club warehouse, big box, or mass merchandising environment.
  • Background in P&L, inventory control, merchandising, hiring/training staff, front-end, merchandising, cash control, payroll, security/loss prevention.
  • Strong leadership skills, capable of running a high-volume warehouse operation.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and people management/training skills.
  • Commitment to company values and strong customer orientation.
Work Environment

The work environment is moderate, with areas that are cold (freezer) and hot (damages area). Physical labor is infrequent, but there may be times when merchandise needs to be moved or an area cleaned. Industrial vehicles (forklifts, Hilo) move material throughout the warehouse.
