About the Role

The Content Strategist is a key player in crafting a cohesive content strategy that resonates with our target audience. Working closely with internal and external collaborators, you'll plan, execute, and oversee the strategy from start to finish. Supported by creative and editorial resources, you'll align brand narratives with content strategies and editorial decisions. Your role will involve conceptualizing and producing content assets that drive business goals across earned, owned, and paid platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Content Director to brainstorm creative content ideas and campaigns
• Plan and execute tactics that accomplish specific content goals
• Optimize existing content for clients on all channels - owned, earned, and paid platforms
• Produce content targeted at driving traffic, engagement, leads, sales, customer retention, brand awareness, and key content metrics
• Work with internal and external collaborators and creative resources to deliver content assets that align with the broader brand voice and strategy
• Create, track, and advance the editorial calendar, and regularly measure and distill progress results to apply data-driven insights to future content strategies
• Apply SEO, content development, distribution, and measurement to effectively tailor content to reach audience personas
• Establish strategies for online channels, and create corresponding content
• Build relationships with thought leaders and nurture brand awareness, while gathering knowledge of industry trends
• Test and implement innovative and relevant methods of measuring content, campaigns, and tools, keeping in mind the purpose of the derived results

Qualifications

• A Diploma or Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or a related field
• Excellent oral communication skills (more spoken languages are a bonus)
• At least 4 years of experience in creating and editing digital content for target audiences across all multimedia and social platforms
• Skilled in copywriting, content creation, and copy editing, including writing in different voices and styles, for a variety of target audiences
• A professional portfolio of work that showcases the above
• Experience in marketing campaigns, project management, and public/media/influencer relations
• Experience in Marketing, Communications, or in a journalist, creative, or media capacity
• Experience with digital marketing functions including SEO, Content Marketing, Social Media Marketing, Email Marketing, and PPC Marketing is a bonus
• Experience with SEO tools including Google Adwords and Keyword Planner, Google Analytics, Semrush, and Buzzsumo is preferred
