Job Summary:

Benchmark Senior Living is seeking a skilled Activity Coordinator - Memory Care to join our team. As an Activity Coordinator, you will be responsible for developing and implementing programs designed to meet the individual needs of our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive activity program that caters to the diverse needs and interests of our residents.
  • Lead and facilitate group activities, including one-on-one, small group, and large group sessions, to promote socialization, engagement, and cognitive stimulation.
  • Support residents in pursuing their interests and hobbies, and encourage them to participate in activities that promote physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
  • Collaborate with the care team to understand residents' needs, preferences, and abilities, and tailor activities accordingly.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to ensure a seamless and supportive experience.
  • Maintain accurate records of resident participation and activity schedules.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in activity programming for older adults.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as gerontology, recreation therapy, or a related field.
  • Experience working with older adults, preferably in a memory care setting.
  • Knowledge of activity programming principles and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of confidentiality and discretion when handling resident information.
