Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Facility Maintenance Manager to oversee the upkeep and operational efficiency of our dealership facility at Gordon Chevrolet. This role involves managing various aspects of facility maintenance, including landscape planning, snow plowing, general building maintenance, and coordination with external service providers for heating, cooling, roofing, network systems, EV charging, and building repairs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Landscape Maintenance: Plan and coordinate landscape maintenance activities to ensure a clean and attractive dealership environment.
  • Snow Removal: Organize and oversee snow plowing and ice removal operations during winter months to maintain safe access and parking areas.
  • General Building Maintenance: Perform or oversee general building maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs as needed.
  • External Service Provider Coordination: Act as the primary liaison with external service providers such as heating and cooling companies, roofing contractors, network and systems specialists, and EV charging station vendors.
  • Maintenance Scheduling: Schedule and supervise maintenance activities conducted by external contractors, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
  • Facility Compliance: Monitor and maintain dealership facilities to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Building Repairs and Renovations: Coordinate and oversee building repairs, renovations, and construction projects as required.
  • Maintenance Record Keeping: Maintain records of maintenance activities, equipment servicing, and repairs for future reference and reporting purposes.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot facility-related issues and implement preventive maintenance measures to minimize downtime and operational disruptions.
Requirements
  • Experience: Proven experience in facility maintenance, building operations, or a related field.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of landscaping principles, snow removal techniques, and general building maintenance practices.
  • Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Independence: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of accountability and ownership.
