Strategic Development Director

About the Position
Boston Debate League (BDL) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Managing Director, Development to lead our philanthropic initiatives and drive growth. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing and implementing successful fundraising strategies, building strong relationships with donors, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive development plan to support BDL's growth goals and increase revenue streams
- Build and maintain relationships with major donors, foundations, and corporate partners
- Collaborate with the Senior Leadership team, Board of Directors, and staff to define and realize the organization's vision and direction for philanthropy
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in development, fundraising, or a related field
- Proven track record of success in securing major gifts and developing strategic partnerships
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills
What We Offer
- Competitive salary range: $120,000 - $130,000
