Job Summary

This role involves performing a variety of tasks with varying levels of complexity. Responsibilities include decontaminating soiled equipment and instruments, stocking shelves, issuing patient care supplies and equipment, preparing supplies for surgical cases, performing routine departmental preventative maintenance, maintaining departmental charge and tracking information, and completing miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment and Instrument Management
    • Assess equipment and instrument needs for each hospital department.
    • Plan activities based on specific procedures being performed.
    • Implement activities to efficiently maintain and distribute equipment and instruments.
    • Evaluate the cleanliness and safety of the unit, as well as the number and amount of supplies required to maintain adequate levels within the department.
  • Self-Management and Communication
    • Demonstrate effective communication skills and interpersonal relationships.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in a related field.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • HSPA or CBSPD Certification.
  • Travel experience is highly preferred.
Additional Requirements
  • Work history.
  • Skills checklist, current to 1 year, pertinent to the specialty.
  • 2 Supervisory Reference Forms, taken within the last two years.
  • Candidates' Permanent Address (Note: Facility will not consider local candidates within a 50-mile radius).
Work Schedule

This role requires working every 4-5th weekend and rotating holidays.
