Job Summary

As a Pharmacy Technician at Walgreens, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our pharmacy team. You will assist pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy, perform various tasks, and provide excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist pharmacists in the performance of pharmacy duties, including retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical drugs.
  • Verify medicine is correct and check for possible interactions.
  • Process prescriptions, including manual claims for third-party program prescription services.
  • Assist with inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing shipment of pharmaceuticals.
  • Provide excellent customer service, including greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving issues.
  • Develop strong relationships with most valuable customers.
  • Assist with exterior and interior maintenance of the pharmacy department.
Requirements
  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
  • Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
  • Prefer good math skills and computer skills.
  • Prefer knowledge of store inventory control and PTCB certification.
