Position Overview:

The Custodial Team Leader is responsible for overseeing and executing essential cleaning and maintenance tasks to uphold hygiene and cleanliness standards as per contract requirements. This role involves managing a team of custodial staff, ensuring effective time management, and fostering strong relationships with clients to guarantee satisfaction. The leader will also be tasked with safely transporting team members to various locations while adhering to all relevant driving regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to all organizational policies and contract specifications.
  • Lead daily cleaning operations while guiding the team in their tasks.
  • Transport team members and necessary supplies to designated areas.
  • Provide training and mentorship to new custodial staff, ensuring they understand cleaning protocols.
  • Monitor and report on the quality and quantity of work performed by the team.
  • Assign additional tasks as necessary to ensure compliance with contract standards.
  • Collaborate closely with supervisors to ensure all assigned duties are completed effectively.
  • Respond promptly to communications from supervisors or designated representatives.
  • Report any facility issues, such as maintenance needs, to supervisors immediately.
Cleaning Duties Include:
  • Thorough cleaning and sanitization of restrooms and facilities.
  • Descaling and scrubbing of showers, toilets, and sinks.
  • Maintaining cleanliness of walls, floors, and various surfaces.
  • Ensuring restrooms are stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Performing routine glass cleaning and vacuuming.
  • Managing waste disposal and recycling processes.
  • Cleaning kitchen areas and fitness centers as per guidelines.
  • Conducting thorough cleaning of building exteriors and common areas.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Capability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Willingness to work in various environmental conditions.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous custodial experience is advantageous.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required.
