Store Team Member

As a Store Team Member at Michaels Stores, Inc., you will play a vital role in maintaining a high standard of overall look and feel of the store. This includes maintaining store cleanliness and recovery standards to deliver our Brand Promises. You will be responsible for delivering friendly customer service, helping customers shop our store and find what they're looking for. You will also be responsible for moving equipment and products for proper cleaning and placing products back in correct placement. Additionally, you will clean assigned areas with the use of assigned materials and equipment. You may be required to mix water and detergents in containers to prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications. You will also be responsible for deep cleaning key areas of the store, including but not limited to bathrooms, breakrooms, entry ways and other high traffic areas to maintain a clean, safe environment for customers and staff. You will be responsible for keeping cleaning equipment neat and orderly and notifying your supervisor of supply needs in advance for replenishment. You will also be responsible for seeking out areas requiring cleaning and projecting a positive image and serving as a role model for other Team Members. You will be responsible for executing cash handling to standards and engaging customers on benefits of Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and completing enrollments. You will also be responsible for assisting with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship from Store (SFS). You will participate in the truck un-load, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes. You will also be responsible for executing Company policies and standards. Retail and/or cleaning experience is preferred.
Work Environment
You will be working in a public retail store setting taking care of our customers. Some stock rooms may not be climate controlled and some outdoor work may be assigned to retrieve shopping carts or while unloading trucks. The Frame shop contains glass cutter and heat press. Work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings. You will be using standard commercial cleaners and chemicals from cleaning supplies. You must satisfy federal, state, and local legal requirements of the job. Michaels requires all team members in this role to be at least sixteen (16) years or older.
