Job Overview

The Floor Maintenance Specialist is responsible for the thorough cleaning and upkeep of both carpeted and hard surface flooring. This role also involves managing pallets on the floor while operating a forklift.

Compensation: $18.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

* Responsible for cleaning and maintaining both carpet and hard surface floors, which includes tasks such as stripping, scrubbing, buffing, waxing, refinishing, sealing, and spot cleaning.

* Adhere to safety protocols in all work areas.

* Assist the Building/Account Lead with special projects, including setups, breakdowns, and move in/move outs.

* Must demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to complete all assigned tasks.

Primary Duties
  • Maintain cleanliness of building floors through sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming. Follow established procedures for using chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
  • Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors as needed.
  • Clean and vacuum carpeted areas, including applying spot cleaning treatments.
  • Operate vehicles (if required) to perform or travel to cleaning tasks, including vans, industrial trucks, or industrial vacuum cleaners.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 6 months of relevant experience.
  • Experience with floor scrubbers is advantageous.
