About the Role
As a Security Strategy Advisor, you will play a crucial role in advancing our security initiatives. This position requires a combination of executive management capabilities, technical acumen, and operational proficiency.

Your responsibilities will include collaborating on strategic projects with the Head of Security and supporting OpenAI's executive leadership in our mission to benefit humanity.

Your contributions will be vital in pushing the boundaries of AI security.

Your impact at OpenAI will include:
Working closely with the Head of Security to formulate, enhance, and execute essential security strategies. You will ensure alignment with OpenAI's overarching mission and executive priorities, guiding the organization through intricate security challenges.


Serving as a trusted consultant to the Head of Security, offering insights, recommendations, and feedback on various matters.

You will represent the Head of Security in discussions, oversee special projects, and ensure that the security team's objectives are on track.


Managing the implementation of critical security initiatives, guaranteeing that projects are completed on schedule, within scope, and aligned with organizational objectives.

Acting as a key communication link between the Head of Security, executive leadership, and other stakeholders. You will prepare briefings, reports, and presentations that simplify complex security issues into actionable insights for decision-makers.

Encouraging collaboration across different departments, ensuring that security considerations are integrated into all facets of OpenAI's operations. You will partner with leaders throughout the organization to prioritize security in product development, research, and business functions.

You may be a suitable candidate for this role if you possess:
In-depth knowledge of security principles, best practices, and emerging trends in AI and security.

Previous experience in security leadership roles.

Demonstrated experience in program management within a security context.

Experience engaging with executive leadership and across various departments, building strong relationships and facilitating cross-functional initiatives.

Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

A commitment to fostering a security culture and engagement throughout the organization.

Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to advance security initiatives.
