The Ordway is seeking a skilled Building Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering crew, you will be responsible for inspecting, coordinating, and performing installation, repairs, and maintenance of building engineering equipment, HVAC automation systems, facilities, and physical plant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect and maintain building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Perform repairs and maintenance on building equipment, including motors, pumps, and air compressors
- Coordinate with other engineering department personnel to ensure smooth operation of department operations
- Work on call as needed to respond to maintenance requests
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Technical training in building automation systems, maintenance, and fire emergency systems
- Five years' experience in building maintenance
- Experience with building automation and fire and life safety systems (Honeywell HVAC automation system and Simplex fire and life safety systems preferred)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with District Energy heating and cooling services
- Functional ability with Microsoft Office products
- Ability to learn and adapt to other software technologies and systems
