Position Overview:

Allstates Consulting Services is seeking a dedicated Fire Alarm Technician to collaborate with our partner in the Denver, CO region. This role will involve travel, with Per-Diem provided for overnight assignments.

Compensation:
Hourly wage of $40.00, with expected hours of 40 per week.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, maintain, and upgrade fire alarm systems, programming control panels in accordance with building schematics and electrical designs.
  • Position sensors in designated areas, executing tasks such as drilling for cabling and accessing hard-to-reach spaces like attics or crawlspaces.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant codes and regulations during installation and maintenance.
  • Execute low voltage cabling installations in commercial settings, including drilling through concrete and performing limited conduit work.
  • Complete all wiring and connections, ensuring fire alarm systems meet electrical and fire safety standards.
  • Conduct tests to verify the operational status of newly installed fire alarm systems and their components.
  • Troubleshoot installations to confirm proper functionality and adherence to local, state, and federal regulations.

Qualifications:
  • NICET certification is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Must be available for travel.
  • Possess a valid state-required Physical Security and/or Life Safety license.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and site maps.
  • Familiarity with NFPA standards, including NFPA 70 and 72.
  • Experience with burglar alarms, access control, and CCTV systems is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer relations.
  • Certification to operate a BOOM or scissor lift, with the capability to work at heights.
  • Must have basic telecommunication tools, personal protective equipment (PPE), and reliable transportation.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; no DUIs or DWIs in the past three years.

Work Schedule:
  • 8-hour shifts, with day shifts primarily.
  • Evening and night shifts as needed, including weekends and overtime.

Experience Requirements:
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in fire alarm systems is preferred.

Location:
This position requires in-person work in the Denver, CO area.
