Position Overview:

Allstates Consulting Services is seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Technician to collaborate with our esteemed partner in the Denver, CO region. This role involves travel, and Per-Diem will be provided for overnight assignments.

Compensation:

Drive time and mileage will be compensated for the use of a personal vehicle during travel.

Qualifications:

  • NICET certification is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Must be available for travel.
  • Possess a current and valid state-required Physical Security license and/or Life Safety license relevant to the technology.
  • Proficient in reading blueprints and site maps.
  • Familiarity with NFPA standards, including NFPA 70 and 72.
  • Experience with burglar alarms, access control, and CCTV is advantageous.
  • Strong customer relationship and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Certified to operate a BOOM or scissor lift, with the ability to work at heights.
  • Must have basic telecommunication tools, PPE, and reliable transportation.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; no DUI or DWI in the past three years.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, repair, or enhance fire alarm systems and program control panels according to building plans and electrical layouts.
  • Position sensors in suitable locations, performing necessary tasks such as drilling for cabling and accessing areas like crawlspaces or attics.
  • Ensure compliance with current codes and regulations in all work performed.
  • Execute low voltage cabling installations in commercial buildings, including drilling through concrete walls and limited conduit work.
  • Complete all wiring, connections, and equipment installations to ensure fire alarm systems meet electrical and fire codes.
  • Conduct tests to verify that all newly installed fire alarm systems and components are operational.
  • Troubleshoot new system installations to ensure proper functionality and compliance with local, county, state, or federal codes; legal and/or insurance requirements.
