Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Controls Engineer to join our team at Trillium Staffing. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex control systems for industrial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement control systems for industrial processes using PLC, HMI, SCADA, and DCS/Delta V platforms.
  • Develop and maintain technical specifications, documentation, and testing procedures for control systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and technicians.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in control systems technology.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical/Control Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in control systems engineering, with a strong background in PLC, HMI, SCADA, and DCS/Delta V platforms.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex control systems projects on time and within budget.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with industrial networking and protocols (Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus, etc.).
  • Knowledge of standard programming languages (VBA,.NET, SQL, Python) for HMI/SCADA systems.
  • Project Management experience with a PMP certification.
  • Understanding of Batch/Recipes, OEE, MES, and ERP systems.
