Job Title: Senior Controls Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Controls Engineer to join our team at Startech Networks Inc. in Addison, Texas. This is a hybrid position that requires as much as 3 days of work on-site. The selected candidate will receive a very competitive salary and benefits.

Job Summary:

The Senior Controls Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and testing automation solutions for industrial processes and machinery. This includes developing control system architectures, selecting components, detailing schematic diagrams and system documentation, programming controllers, and implementing/commissioning control systems at client facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement automation solutions for industrial processes and machinery
  • Develop control system architectures and select components
  • Detail schematic diagrams and system documentation
  • Program controllers and implement/commission control systems
  • Lead projects as a Project Manager, but not a full-blown PM, this is a hands-on project engineering role
  • Interact directly with customers and lead a team of engineers and technicians
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical/Control Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Computer Science or equal experience
  • Greater than 8 years of experience in automation solutions, control systems, and industrial processes
  • Experience with PLC-5 to ControlLogix conversions, Emerson DeltaV platform, and HMI/SCADA hardware/software platforms
  • Project Management experience with a PMP certification a plus
  • Understanding of Batch/Recipes, OEE, MES, and ERP systems
  • Experience in industries such as Semiconductor, Life Sciences, Building Automation, Food and Beverage, Water Treatment, and general manufacturing
Preferred Qualifications:
  • AutoCAD
  • PMP certification
  • Semiconductor industry background
  • Design of electrical schematics, and control panels including power distribution under 480VAC, and associated NEC references
Travel:

Ability to travel up to 25% - mostly local to Dallas.

Working Environment:

Standard office environment, on-site office environment, diverse industrial environments, frequent use of a personal computer, facsimile/copy machines, and phones.
