About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Controls Engineer to join our team at Global Recruitment Solutions. This is a leadership role that requires demonstrated technical proficiency in implementing automation solutions with PLC, HMI, SCADA, and DCS/Delta V platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement control systems for industrial processes and machinery that meet our customers' requirements.
  • Develop project execution plans, work breakdown structures, and associated budgets.
  • Lead a team of engineers and technicians to provide control system solutions.
  • Conceptualize, detail, and implement control systems for industrial processes and machinery.
  • Develop and implement databases for archiving and displaying historical system data.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical/Control Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • Greater than 8 years of experience in the design and implementation of control systems.
  • Experience with PLC-5 to ControlLogix conversions, Emerson DeltaV platform, and HMI/SCADA hardware/software platforms.
  • Project Management experience with a PMP certification.
  • Understanding of Batch/Recipes, OEE, MES, and ERP systems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in industries such as Semiconductor, Life Sciences, Building Automation, Food and Beverage, Water Treatment, and general manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of standard programming languages such as VBA,.NET, and SQL and Python for the development of HMI/SCADA systems.
  • Experience with industrial networking used to connect control system components and instrumentation.

This is a hands-on project engineering role that requires strong problem-solving ability, well-balanced people skills, and an aptitude for business efficiency. The ideal candidate must have a diverse engineering skillset and the ability to work independently. The position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to guide lower-level engineers and technicians.
