Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Bagging Line Operator to join our production team at Lawn & Garden Mid-Atlantic. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for operating plant machinery, adhering to safety policies and procedures, and producing high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements
  • Set stops or guides to specific lengths as indicated by scale, rule, or templates
  • Observe machine operation to detect product defects or machine malfunction
  • Review product for inconsistencies or abnormal appearance, ensuring it meets quality requirements
  • Perform routine machine maintenance
  • Assist other operators to set up machines and complete tasks to meet deadlines
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; or at least one month of related experience in trades specific to job requirements
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules and operating manuals
  • Self-motivation and ability to work independently
Physical Demands
  • Regularly required to speak and hear
  • Required to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and move up to 65 lbs. from the ground level
  • Capability to perform physical activities requiring considerable use of arms, legs, and body
