Position Overview:

The Packaging Line Technician is responsible for operating machinery in the production facility while strictly following safety protocols to ensure the delivery of high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret job specifications to determine necessary machine settings and material needs.
  • Adjust stops or guides to precise measurements as indicated by scales or templates.
  • Monitor machine operations to identify any product defects or operational issues.
  • Inspect products for inconsistencies, ensuring they meet quality standards.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with fellow operators to set up equipment and meet production deadlines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace in accordance with safety standards.
  • Operate a packaging line for soil and related products.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned that align with the job's nature.
Qualifications:

To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to fulfill each essential duty effectively. The following qualifications are required:

  • High school diploma or GED; or at least one month of relevant experience in a related field; or a combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting safety guidelines, operational instructions, and procedural manuals.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
Physical Demands:
  • Regularly required to communicate effectively.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 65 lbs. from ground level; heavier items may require team lifting or equipment assistance.
  • Capable of performing physical activities that involve extensive use of arms, legs, and the entire body, including bending, climbing, and reaching.
