Position Overview:

The Packaging Line Technician is responsible for operating machinery in the production facility while strictly following safety protocols to ensure the delivery of top-notch products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret job specifications to determine necessary machine settings and material needs.
  • Adjust machine stops or guides to specified measurements as indicated by scales or templates.
  • Monitor machine operations to identify any product defects or operational issues.
  • Inspect products for inconsistencies or irregularities to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on machinery.
  • Assist fellow operators in setting up equipment and completing tasks to meet production deadlines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace in the assigned area.
  • Operate a packaging line for soil and related products.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned based on operational needs.
Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to perform essential duties effectively. The following qualifications are necessary:

  • High school diploma or GED; or at least one month of relevant experience in a related field; or a combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and understand safety guidelines, operating instructions, and procedural manuals.
  • Self-motivated with the capability to work independently.
Physical Requirements:
  • Regularly required to communicate effectively.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 65 lbs. from ground level; team lifting or equipment assistance is encouraged for heavier loads.
  • Must be capable of performing physical activities that involve significant use of arms, legs, and the entire body, including bending, climbing, pushing, pulling, and reaching.
