As a Class A Technician, your primary responsibilities will include conducting fuel tank maintenance, ensuring compliance with maintenance protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fuel Tank Maintenance: Execute preventive maintenance and modification tasks on aircraft fuel tanks in accordance with established maintenance manuals.
- Task Coordination: Manage assigned tasks effectively, ensuring that maintenance procedures are executed in the proper order and inspections are conducted promptly.
- Equipment Oversight: Guarantee that all testing instruments and tools used for airworthiness assessments are properly calibrated and maintained.
- Record Keeping: Meticulously document all completed work in the designated maintenance records and fulfill any additional paperwork requirements.
- Safety Practices: Uphold a tidy and organized workspace, promptly reporting any unsafe conditions or practices to management.
- Regulatory Adherence: Stay informed about FAR part 145 and 43, and remain updated on the company's Repair Station Manual and Quality Control Manual.
- Time Management: Log time spent on tasks and communicate effectively with supervisors to ensure a smooth workflow.
- Confined Space Operations: Be prepared to work in small, confined areas as required by the job.
Qualifications:
- Experience: At least 4 years of experience in aircraft fuel system maintenance.
- Technical Proficiency: Comprehensive knowledge and experience in executing assigned maintenance duties.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with FAR part 145 and 43, along with company repair and quality control protocols.
- Detail Orientation: Ability to accurately adhere to maintenance manuals, ensuring tasks are performed to the highest standards.
- Safety Awareness: Strong commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and adhering to all safety regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- FAA A&P License: Holding an FAA A&P license is advantageous, and the ability to instruct is a plus.
Compensation:
- Pay Rate: The regular hourly pay rate ranges from $27.00 to $29.00, depending on qualifications, training, and licensure status. Overtime is compensated at time and a half based on the regular pay rate.
