Position Overview
Kenworth is in search of motivated, self-sufficient engineers who are passionate about creating, defining, and validating advanced technology-driven vehicle control systems.

The Vehicle Integration Team oversees a comprehensive array of integrated technologies and software functionalities within the vehicle.

This team communicates effectively through written and visual formats to articulate the intended vehicle behavior, facilitating software development, vehicle verification, and validation processes.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, experience in aligning stakeholder interests, and a fervor for integrating cutting-edge technologies into commercial vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and integrate advanced vehicle technologies (Battery Electric Vehicle, Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle, Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems, Connectivity, etc.) into PACCAR products.
- Gather requirements from customers, sales teams, regulatory bodies, and industry standards to capture both customer and business needs.
- Develop functional controls for advanced vehicle systems and software features, including test requirements.
- Define interactions among vehicle systems.
- Support software integration through the V-Model (SPICE) process for product development.
- Create project plans for upcoming initiatives by establishing scope, identifying deliverables, and estimating resources.
- Collaborate with global teams to deliver unified, cost-effective solutions across PACCAR (up to 10% travel may be necessary).
Qualifications & Skills
- B.S. in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline is required; EIT certification and M.S. in Engineering or a related field are preferred.
- 5-7 years of relevant experience is essential; experience with heavy/medium-duty trucks or passenger vehicles is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with ISO26262 and ASPICE is preferred.
- Experience with IBM DNG, IBM Rational Rhapsody, and IBM Rational Team Concert is advantageous.
- Proficient in technical writing and reviewing engineering specifications.
- Understanding of the design, development, and validation of automotive technologies.
- Experience with agile software development is preferred.
- Ability to convey complex concepts or data in a clear and precise manner.
- Requires independent judgment and effective decision-making capabilities.
