Position Summary
We are looking for a Lead Engineer in Instrumentation and Control Systems to become a vital part of our team. This role involves overseeing various engineering projects, particularly in the water infrastructure sector.

Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
1. Collaborate with project managers and engineers to define project scope and monitor progress.
2. Supervise a team of engineers and designers, ensuring adherence to project budgets and timelines.
3. Assist in the selection of instruments for P&ID development and conduct engineering calculations.
4. Engage in control system engineering tasks, including HMI graphics design and control logic development.
5. Utilize instrumentation design software to create and manage instrument data sheets.
6. Develop specifications for I&C equipment based on project requirements and evaluate vendor submissions.
7. Act as the primary liaison with major I&C vendors, ensuring compliance with contracts.
8. Provide training and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
9. Support business development initiatives by contributing to cost estimates for new projects.
10. Offer on-site support for instrumentation and controls during construction and startup phases.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of ten years of experience in municipal water/wastewater treatment or related engineering fields.
- Expertise in control systems, including SCADA and DCS, with a solid understanding of cybersecurity concepts.
- Familiarity with telecommunication system design and experience in control valve and flow meter specifications.
- A passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam; a Professional Engineering License is preferred.
- Knowledge of relevant codes and standards in the I&C discipline.
- Proficiency in design software such as SmartPlant Instrumentation, Revit, and AutoCAD is advantageous.
