Job Title: Junior Structural Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Structural Engineer to join our team at Tetra Tech. As a Junior Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and analyzing civil works structures, waterfront structures, bridges, and pump stations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and analyze structural systems, including flood walls, navigation locks, dam structures, and bridges.
  • Develop and implement design solutions that meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and other team members to ensure project deliverables are met.
  • Conduct quality control checks on calculations, drawings, and quantities.
  • Research and document design options for senior engineers.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including specifications and reports.
  • Provide technical support to project managers and other team members as needed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's degree preferred).
  • 0-5 years of relevant structural engineering experience.
  • EIT Certification required.
  • Familiarity with current structural design methods, codes, and standards.
  • Experience with structural concrete and steel design.
  • Familiarity with developing structural drawings.
  • Working knowledge of structural computer-based design tools (such as SAP2000, SAFE, LPILE, GROUP).
  • Working knowledge (or interest in learning) BIM and/or CAD software platforms (such as AutoCAD, Revit, Bentley OpenBuildings, MicroStation).
  • Working knowledge (or interest in learning) 3D FEA structural analysis computer design tools (such as ANSYS).
  • Microsoft Office software experience/understanding.
  • Demonstrated educational and relevant work experience showing strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
