About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Certified Medication Aide to join our team at Balfour Senior Living. As a Medication Aide, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents, working closely with our licensed nurses to ensure the highest quality of care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medications as prescribed by residents' physicians and document administration, effectiveness, and any adverse actions or side effects.
  • Obtain and record residents' vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration rate, and blood pressure.
  • Provide essential nursing care, including assistance with daily living needs and emotional support.
  • Adhere to and reinforce proper infection control measures.
  • Partner with Life Enrichment to provide companionship, stimulation, and engagement to residents.
  • Assist with light housekeeping tasks and perform departmental organizational tasks.
Requirements
  • Current certification as a Medication Aide with prior CNA certification from the State of Colorado.
  • Talent for interacting with a wide variety of people, particularly the elderly and their family members.
  • Ability to provide a high level of compassion and care for our elderly residents.
  • Ability to maintain the highest levels of confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
