ADVANCED INFRASTRUCTURE DESIGN, INC. is a well-established consulting firm that specializes in providing professional services in various engineering disciplines, including non-destructive testing, pavement evaluation, geotechnical engineering, and construction material testing. We are currently seeking a Practice Leader for our construction materials testing and inspection services.

Position Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage construction materials testing and inspection projects, ensuring adherence to budget, staffing, and timelines.
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for Practice staffing, including the allocation of project assignments.
  • Drive business development initiatives, including marketing strategies, client relationship management, and proposal development.
  • Facilitate staff development through comprehensive training, mentoring, and engaging technical project assignments.
  • Supervise the operations of our construction materials testing laboratory, including the scheduling of lab tests, conducting Quality Assurance (QA) procedures, reviewing and submitting testing reports, maintaining laboratory records and accreditation, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Establish and enforce QA/QC protocols to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Manage project execution, focusing on quality assurance, budget management, and adherence to schedules.
  • Evaluate and enhance the quality performance of the Practice by developing key performance indicators to measure client satisfaction, revenue growth, and profitability.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (a graduate degree in a related field is preferred).
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
  • In-depth knowledge and extensive experience in construction materials testing and inspection, with a strong emphasis on concrete and asphalt materials.
  • Preferred experience in assessing the condition of reinforced concrete structures.
  • Familiarity with non-destructive testing techniques, such as Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) and roadway profiling.
  • Experience collaborating with public transportation agencies.
  • Proven project management skills and capabilities.
  • Motivated to engage in business development within the construction materials testing sector.
  • A collaborative team player with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
