Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer - Electrical Distribution to join our team at Collabera. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical distribution systems for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electrical distribution systems, including substations, transmission lines, and distribution networks.
  • Develop and implement electrical design standards and guidelines to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and project management, to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications and industry standards.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design reports, specifications, and technical notes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical design engineering, preferably in the distribution sector.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with distribution design tools, such as BOUD, Pole Foreman, Spida-Calc, O-Calc, or similar.
  • Knowledge of NESC Standards, ESRI, AutoCAD, and/or MicroStation, and GIS.
  • Experience with structural analysis, guying calcs, cable pulling calcs, coordination of protective devices, and electric demand and fault currents calculations.
  • Work management software and job estimating software.
