We are seeking a highly skilled Chemical Technician with a background in Reagent Production and Quality Control to join our team at Sustainable Talent. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and efficiency of our reagent production processes.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement production plans to meet manufacturing work requirements.
- Collaborate with operations teams to ensure departmental staffing and task completion.
- Generate user requirements to optimize workflow and efficiency in our product database.
- Perform packaging functions, including filling, labeling, and kit packaging.
- Conduct manufacturing functions to produce and troubleshoot reagents.
- Oversee laboratory maintenance and ensure EHS compliance.
- Assist department management with customer inquiries, complaints, and investigations related to production.
- Support ERP database management for manufacturing and inventory control.
- Ensure all reagents and kits meet established quality control requirements.
- Perform quality control testing on raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
- Maintain and perform stability testing.
- Ensure equipment maintenance and calibration meet quality requirements.
- Support shipping team in delivering products to fulfill orders.
- Prepare and review SOPs, batch records, and other department documentation.
- Support inventory and supply chain functions.
- Responsible for document and record management.
- Conduct training for the production team and maintain training records.
- Work with staff to complete deviations and investigations, and develop CAPAs.
- Assist with capturing, measuring, and reporting critical KPI metrics.
- Support site management in ensuring compliance with lean initiatives and processes.
- Adhere to site EHS requirements.
- Adjust work hours as needed to meet deadlines.
- Provide cross-functional support to other areas of the department.
- Proficient with SOP/batch records.
- Familiar with cell and biochemical assays.
- Good technical background in biochemistry.
- Project management skills.
- Familiar with GMP/GLP processes.
- Good understanding of basic laboratory equipment.
- Familiar with ERP systems (inventory and production management).
- Inventory management skills.
- Basic knowledge of laboratory safety.
- Basic knowledge of lean initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in biology, biochemistry, or other related degree concentration, or equivalent directly-related experience.
- Three (3) or more years of proven experience in a laboratory environment.
- Proven management and leadership skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, decision-making, and presentation skills.
- Result-oriented with ability to plan and deliver against deadlines.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple competing priorities and assignments.
- Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
- Demonstrated ability to work as an independent, self-motivated, detail-oriented, result-driven, and highly flexible team-player.
- Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies.
- Strong interpersonal skills are essential to effectively interact with all teams, areas, and levels of business. Good facilitation skills required.
