Position Overview

C & B Equipment, a dynamic family-owned business that has expanded over three decades to encompass John Deere Agriculture, material handling, and power sports operations, is seeking a Sales Consultant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establishing and nurturing relationships while broadening the customer base.
  • Executing strategies to enhance sales and profitability through targeted prospecting within the designated area.
  • Creating tailored proposals based on comprehensive needs assessments.
  • Conducting market analysis to generate competitive insights.
  • Building and sustaining knowledge of industry trends and best practices.
  • Maintaining sales management records for all clients in the assigned region.
  • Ensuring upkeep of company vehicles and equipment.
  • Facilitating demonstrations of new equipment in the field.
  • Tracking developments in customer business activities and providing timely updates to management.
  • Keeping abreast of current used equipment valuations and possessing the capability to assess equipment accurately for trade-in purposes.
  • Staying informed about financing options to assist clients in acquiring new and pre-owned products.
  • Participating in relevant sales training sessions and seminars.

Candidate Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of prior experience in outside sales.
  • Proven track record in developing and securing new business in a competitive landscape.
  • Self-motivated to actively seek, cultivate, and finalize new business opportunities, employing effective questioning techniques to align solution benefits with client needs.
  • Outstanding communication and sales presentation abilities.
  • Ability to connect with diverse individuals and easily establish trusting relationships.
  • Strong integrity and work ethic.
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned sales territory to enhance business relationships.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Previous experience and knowledge of agricultural and outdoor power equipment is highly desirable.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
