Thrive Communities is seeking a dedicated Mobile Maintenance Specialist to support various properties on a daily basis. This role offers exposure to a range of property types, from lease-ups to established communities, including both garden-style and high-rise buildings.
Role Overview:
The Mobile Maintenance Specialist plays a crucial role in assisting the Maintenance Supervisor and team in preserving the physical integrity of our communities. This position is essential in ensuring a safe, secure, and comfortable living environment for residents, visitors, and staff. The Specialist will perform assigned tasks safely and efficiently, and in the absence of the Maintenance Supervisor, will take on all maintenance responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine preventative maintenance on equipment and tools as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager.
- Diagnose and execute minor or routine repairs within residential units and across the property.
- Inspect and coordinate necessary make-ready repairs and services.
- Maintain grounds to ensure they are clean and free of debris.
- Undertake additional tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager.
- Foster a positive team atmosphere and contribute to resident satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Previous maintenance experience in property management is preferred but not mandatory.
- Skills in unit turnovers and appliance repairs are advantageous.
- Strong customer service abilities.
- Team-oriented mindset.
- Eagerness to learn and take initiative on projects.
- Availability to work weekends and scheduled days.
- Valid driver's license and automobile insurance are required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to alternate between standing, walking, and sitting based on daily needs, with approximately 66% - 100% of time spent on feet.
- Occasional bending, stooping, climbing, pushing, pulling, and reaching above shoulder height.
- Capability to lift and move items weighing up to 25 lbs occasionally, with frequent lifting of up to 20 lbs.
