About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Mobility Specialist to join our team at Infinity Rehab. As a Mobility Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing low-intensity progressive exercise and activity programs to older adult patients, promoting their optimal activity, mobility, and independence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement exercise and activity programs tailored to individual patient needs, in collaboration with Physical Therapists and nursing staff.
  • Provide safe and effective exercise and activity interventions, ensuring patient participation and engagement.
  • Monitor patient response to interventions and adapt strategies as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Assist with training of certified nursing assistant staff on nursing restorative plans and provide support to the rehabilitation team.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and participate in ongoing continuing education and professional development.
Requirements
  • High school diploma and post-secondary coursework in biological sciences, medical terminology, communication, and conflict resolution.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • 0-2 years of experience in exercise, activity, or older adult care preferred.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and be dependable.
  • Passion for the value of exercise and activity in improving health, function, and quality of life.
