Position Overview:

We are seeking a Process Engineering Leader to spearhead our engineering and design initiatives. This role involves providing strategic direction and prioritizing best practices across our manufacturing facilities. Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, you will guide engineering teams in optimizing design concepts and specifications to maximize equipment utilization and manufacturing efficiency.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of engineers and technicians focused on developing production processes, including plant layout, machinery selection, tooling, and standardized work practices.
  • Oversee the creation and execution of manufacturing processes aimed at enhancing product cost-effectiveness, operational efficiency, and factory functionality.
  • Facilitate collaboration between the manufacturing engineering team and other departments to foster a unified operational environment.
  • Manage the development and implementation of new capital equipment projects to enhance manufacturing capabilities.
  • Ensure that safety considerations are integral to the design and execution of all projects.
  • Evaluate engineering changes and establish specification requirements to support continuous improvement.
  • Assist in new product development initiatives by providing essential support during product launches.
  • Supervise the preparation of all manufacturing documentation, ensuring accuracy and consistency in production rates and machine cycle times.
  • Collaborate with operations and continuous improvement teams to optimize plant layout and material flow.
  • Support automation efforts and control system upgrades within the manufacturing environment.
  • Provide expertise in extrusion processes for pipe manufacturing and plastic injection molding.

Your Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or related fields).
  • Over 10 years of experience in manufacturing processes, new product introductions, and documentation.
  • Extensive experience in applying Lean and Six Sigma methodologies for continuous improvement.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of machine processes, tooling, and fixture design.
  • Experience with extrusion processes and plastic injection molding.
  • Familiarity with clean room specifications and setups.
  • Project management experience in product development and manufacturing settings.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage diverse teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project and CAD/3D software.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, with minimal frequency.

Physical and Work Environment:

This role requires frequent walking, talking, and listening. Occasional standing, sitting, and manual dexterity are necessary, with the ability to lift up to 30 pounds. Vision requirements include close vision, color vision, and depth perception.

The work environment includes both office and manufacturing settings, with occasional duties outside typical office conditions.
