Key Responsibilities

  • The Senior Electrician Supervisor will lead, assess, strategize, and engage in the daily management, upkeep, repair, and construction of the electrical utility systems.
  • This role serves as the main authority, technician, and technical advisor for the electrical distribution networks within facilities and the utility systems.
  • Support for construction initiatives will also be a key responsibility, addressing the base's requirements, including installation of additional outlets, running new circuits, and modernizing electrical components.

Essential Qualifications

  • Current certification as an Electrician Journeyman in the State of Alaska as per local regulations.
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of documented experience in electrical work, particularly with distribution and power systems.
  • At least two (2) years of experience with utility systems, including building feed wiring, transformers, and electrical connection points.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of VFDs, SCADA systems, process controls, and industrial equipment such as generators and boilers.
  • A minimum of three (3) years in a supervisory role overseeing personnel involved in the operation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with electrical codes and best practices regarding distribution and power systems.
  • Understanding of safety hazards and necessary precautions related to electrical systems.
