Teledyne Technologies Incorporated provides enabling technologies for industrial growth markets that require advanced technology and high reliability.
We are seeking a Project Engineer to join our team, specializing in extreme environment electrical interconnect systems. The successful candidate will design solutions to meet customers' requirements, through new designs or reconfiguration of existing Teledyne DGO products.
Key Responsibilities- Develop solutions in accordance with standard Teledyne DGO guidelines and practices, and all contractual requirements.
- Create designs in CAD using best engineering practices.
- Interface with the customer to ensure technical requirements and expectations are met.
- Provide technical leadership in an integrated multi-discipline team environment for the development, qualification, and production integration of new products.
- Ensure appropriate qualification exists for all products, and perform formal design reviews as appropriate.
- BS/MS degree or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
- 7+ years' experience in a related industry, ideally working with a supplier for subsea defense products.
- A strong engineering aptitude with hands-on capabilities.
- Understanding of general safety practices in high-pressure, thermal, and electrical operational and test environments.
- Familiarity with basic temperature, pressure, insulation resistance, continuity resistance, optical insertion/return loss, optical back reflection, mechanical stress/strain, vibration, and shock requirements and measurement techniques.
- Preferred to have understanding of Fiber Optic and Electrical (power and communications) interconnectivity.
- Preferred to have knowledge of US government military specs for suppliers.
- Demonstrated knowledge of ISO 9001.
