Overview:

Amergis Locum Tenens is seeking dedicated Physicians to join our team for various on-site employee health facilities in the suburban Chicago area and Indiana. These centers are managed by a significant Union coalition, focusing on wellness and episodic care for employees and their families aged 2 and above.

About the Role:

Our health centers emphasize a proactive and educational approach, encouraging associates and their dependents to embrace healthy lifestyles. The facilities provide comprehensive primary care alongside episodic treatment for illnesses, ensuring longer appointment durations that allow physicians to thoroughly address patient needs. This role promotes a healthy work-life balance, featuring no weekend, on-call, hospital rounds, or holiday shifts. Physicians will work a standard 40-hour week, including one evening shift until 7 PM, with schedules designed to ensure adequate patient interaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct examinations and develop treatment plans within the scope of your professional license.
  • Educate patients on preventive care and specialty referrals.
  • Prescribe medications, perform diagnostic testing, and conduct screening evaluations.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare team members, including Physicians, Medical Assistants, and Nurse Practitioners.
  • Serve a patient demographic consisting of Union Coalition members and their families.

Qualifications:

  • MD or DO Degree.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible, pursuing certification.
  • Current DEA License and State Certification.
  • Active Illinois Physician License.
  • BCLS Certification.
  • Experience in a Primary Care Setting.
  • Training in Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Urgent Care, or Emergency Medicine.
  • Ability to treat patients aged 2 and older.

Expectations:

  • Maintain current licensure in good standing.
  • Adhere to corporate and organizational security policies.
  • Understand your role in safeguarding corporate and client assets.
  • Perform assigned responsibilities diligently.
  • Willingness to reside and commute within a reasonable distance of the assigned clinic.
  • Commitment to one evening shift until 7 PM.

Additional Information:

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
