Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Process Improvement: Lead initiatives to strengthen Strategic Sourcing capabilities in key areas such as process improvement, policies and governance, technology assessment and implementation, analytics, supplier relationship management, competitive bidding (RFx and e-auctions) and training and development activities.
  • Global Source to Order Process Excellence: Support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of global source to order processes to enhance the value of the Strategic Sourcing and P2P organization.
  • Supplier Governance and Performance Management: Coordinate supplier governance and performance management program, including executive business reviews, developing/updating action plans, defining success metrics and monitoring KPI progress.
  • Best Practices and Process Development: Introduce best practices and better ways of managing work and creating processes that support advancing our strategic priorities.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Management: Develop communication plans with Strategic Sourcing teams and stakeholders to drive consistency and alignment to Strategic Sourcing vision.
  • Market Research and Analysis: Research and identify Strategic Sourcing team development opportunities and skill building, as well as obtain and integrate market research to support Category strategies and/or sourcing activities.
Requirements
  • Deep Understanding of Sourcing and Procurement: Deep understanding of sourcing, procurement and AP processes and industry best practices in areas such as procurement technology, risk management, supplier relationship management, stakeholder management and market intelligence.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, strong knowledge of ERP systems, P2P systems and related e-Sourcing tools, including business intelligence and reporting platforms.
  • Analytical and Project Management Skills: Strong analytical capabilities (data analysis and benchmarking research); expertise working with data analytical/reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, etc. Able to generate necessary data and reports to support their activities.
  • Leadership and Collaboration Skills: Able to lead teams in collaborative manner to drive successful outcomes through earned respect and trust. Collaboration extends beyond stakeholders and suppliers to include other functional areas including Legal, Compliance, Finance, among others.
  • Communication and Presentation Skills: Strong communication skills (both written and verbal); able to clearly articulate opinions in concise and persuasive manner. Comfortable speaking in front of groups and/or leading meetings that may include Senior-level Management personnel.
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree and typically requires 6+ years of Sourcing experience, ideally several within a pharmaceutical / biotech industry, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
