Process Automation Specialist

Are you passionate about enhancing operational workflows and increasing productivity? Allied OneSource is seeking a Process Automation Specialist to become a vital part of our team.
In this position, you will conceptualize, develop, and deploy automated systems aimed at refining our operational procedures. You will engage with diverse technologies to devise creative solutions and address any obstacles that may emerge.
Key Responsibilities:
Automation Proficiency:
Expertise in PLC programming, HMI design, and contemporary automation methodologies.
Project Management:
Manages assigned responsibilities including documentation, programming, testing, and commissioning.
Technical Knowledge:
Conducts I/O checks, interprets and modifies technical schematics, and oversees PC hardware/software maintenance. Reads and alters system architecture, wiring, and panel diagrams. Engages in technical writing, including the creation of testing plans.
Analytical Thinking:
Utilizes critical thinking and technical expertise to resolve unique challenges.
SCADA Programming:
Acquires and implements fundamental SCADA programming skills using industry-standard tools.
Collaboration & Communication:
Works collaboratively, provides technical assistance, and communicates effectively.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline
3-5 years of experience in the Biotech, Pharmaceutical, or Specialty Chemical sectors (preferred).
Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) is essential.
Additional Information:
Travel Requirements:
Up to 30% travel expected, including potential air travel within the US and possible international trips. A valid passport and driver's license are required.
Physical Requirements:
This role involves working in Biotech, Pharmaceutical, and Specialty Chemical environments (exposure to chemicals, noise, temperature variations, and PPE requirements). Occasional work at construction sites may include heights, ladders, and lifting up to 50 lbs (rarely).
Office Duties:
The position requires prolonged periods of sitting, utilizing a computer for data entry, and communication via phone and screen.
Vision Requirements:
Ability to clearly see a computer screen at close range is necessary.
Compensation: $90,000/year + Bonuses
